David Bakker

Born in Albury, NSW; David Bakker is an actor/improviser who spent various years in drama schools throughout high school and beyond. Until one day… in 2015 while on a Working Holiday Visa in Vancouver, Canada. He took his first improv class and fell in love! And has been improvising ever since. He then studied at numerous improv schools such as VTSL, Instant Theatre and Blind Tiger whilst living there.

Once his Work Holiday Visa ran out he travelled across the U.S.A for three months sampling all the improv he could from the cities he visited, including the birthplace of the Harold itself, Chicago. Not content once he had witnessed the peak of improv to throw in the towel (because he felt couldn’t possibly top that) he continued his training once he returned to Melbourne.

In Melbourne; much to his surprise, he found a rather large improv scene. He joined with The Improv Conspiracy and went through levels 2-4 (skipping the level 1 because of his previous improv experience) he then made it onto a house team for 6 months.

Outside of TIC he completed Act 1 and 2 of Impromptunes: Improvised Musical, he’s also done a multitude of workshops and joined a variety of indie teams performing either week to week or whenever they can get a slot onto a show night.
