Laugh Masters Academy welcomes you to our FREE intro to improv class.

We hold them on the second Saturday of (almost) every month. Which is why we call them “Second Saturdays.” Don’t let the clever name stop you from coming along and giving improv a try. If you’re here, then you already know you want to, so go for it! We’d love to have you join us.

Note: Due to Covid-19 we’re taking some of our classes online, including this one.

Need a break from the usual grind (whatever that looks like now)?
Then get ready to goof around in front of your webcam!

This is free class is a brief introduction to some basic improv principles. We learn by doing. Be prepared to jump up and in – and participate, this is not a lecture!

No prior experience necessary.

Things to know and prepare:

Duration: 60 minutes of fun
Wear: Comfortable shoes and clothing (including pants!)
Space: Find a place where you can stand.
Device: Our online classes are optimised for desktop, laptop or tablet (mobile phones can sometimes have audio issues but if you’ve used yours successfully before, go ahead)
Notes: Pen and paper

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The first few weeks get you out of your comfort zone but once you get into scenes and start creating it’s hard not to get addicted. The experience is full of self-discovery, improving your mindfulness and communication skills. There aren’t many (if any) other times in the week when you spend a full 3 hours laughing out loud. It’s fantastic!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I couldn’t recommend LMA more. The teachers are very supportive and experienced, the student shows are really fun and not by any means compulsory if people are not feeling ready to perform, and most importantly the community vibe is unmatched. If you’re trying improv out for the first time like I did, you wanna be at LMA.
