We are here to explore comedy as a tool for self expression and personal growth so we can all live more authentic, meaningful lives and thrive together as a (hilarious) community.

Our "why" The Home of Improv and Sketch Comedy in Australia

We do this by offering world-class “Chicago style” long form improv classes, sketch comedy writing and performance classes, clown, stand-up, and more – all at a fair price that delivers great value.

And we believe (and have witnessed) that through the exploration of comedy people can, and do more than discover or develop their inner funny bone, they transform as humans into bigger, better, truer versions of themselves often gaining new levels of confidence, self respect, and joy.

At LMA we are committed to creating a safe, warm, and welcoming environment where everyone and anyone can come learn, play, take risks, fail gloriously – and succeed hilariously, and ultimately become more authentic human beings while tickling their funny bone and making new friends for life.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The first few weeks get you out of your comfort zone but once you get into scenes and start creating it’s hard not to get addicted. The experience is full of self-discovery, improving your mindfulness and communication skills. There aren’t many (if any) other times in the week when you spend a full 3 hours laughing out loud. It’s fantastic!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I couldn’t recommend LMA more. The teachers are very supportive and experienced, the student shows are really fun and not by any means compulsory if people are not feeling ready to perform, and most importantly the community vibe is unmatched. If you’re trying improv out for the first time like I did, you wanna be at LMA.
