WELCOME TO IMPROV LEVEL 5. You’ve obviously decided this improv thing is for you and now you want to dig deeper into your work and face new challenges.

Hurrah! You are ready for Level 5, an advanced scene study class building on the foundation you acquired in Levels 1-4 and exploring techniques and strategies for getting out of your own way, keeping the audience engaged and delighted, making strong choices in scenes, and recognizing the difference between genuine delight and just fudging through.

Level Five includes a direct feedback component, with the teacher’s focus on developing you as an improviser and the group as an ensemble. We’ll work towards developing an Open Harold or similar show that utilizes what we’ve learnt.

Ideally, this class is for improvisers who want to be challenged on an emotional and creative level and pushed to explore what else is possible.
