This class is the entry point into the unique LMA curriculum and will cover the core principles, ideals, concepts, and vocabulary in improvisation. Our goal is to create a warm, fun and safe learning environment that cultivates knowledgeable, well-rounded performers and communicators armed with the skills to succeed on stage and in all facets of life.
Improv is one of the most important skills you can develop. It teaches you to listen to every little thing being said – and not being said – in your scenes, and in life. Improv helps you to relax and gain confidence which will translate to improved success in your auditions, work, personal life, and as a performer.
Our professionally trained Instructors will quickly put you at ease so you can be silly without being self-conscious. You will learn exercises and play theatre games that improve creative thinking, problem solving, idea generation, teamwork, communication skills and self-confidence – all while living in the moment and having a rollicking good time.
